Milani Green Goddess Review

Back again with a review for the Milani Cosmetics Green Goddess Cannabis line.

Originally when I saw this I gave an immediate eye roll. The green packaging and obligatory weed leaf screams pandering. Still, I am a user of Milani products so I had to give it a go. First off, it's a very affordable price point. It’s almost like a novelty make up item, just something to buy because of the monogrammed gold weed leaf on all of the packaging.

Starting with the cannabis lip balm. I am absolutely a fan of chapstick and lip balms in general, so I was especially excited to try it. Like many cannabis related products at big box stores, this lip balm simply included hemp seed oil in their ingredients. Sativa cannabis seed oil to be more accurate to their ingredient list.

One thing I will say about this Milani Green Goddess Transforming Lip Balm is that it is beautiful. The packaging, the gold applicator. It was so luxe and trendy. Once you apply it you realize there’s really nothing special about it. Very effective as a lip balm, I couldn’t find one thing special about it. It’s just a fancy, weed-themed, lip balm.

Onto the Milani Green Goddess Glow Oil, and I will say I happen to love glow oils in general. This one just so happens to come in a very cute looking container. I used this frequently, usually at night or under my makeup. To give me that glowy, summer skin. It’s very rich without being greasy, and you can really layer it on at night. I enjoyed the glow oil, but feel like they threw the word “Sativa” in to make it sound cool.

The last Green Goddess product that I got to try was the Milani Green Goddess Face Mist. Again, a fan of dewy, sticky skin always loves a good face mist. Again, the packaging was beautiful and the applicator itself. When you sprayed it, it was refreshing and smelled lovely. Immediately it moisturizes your skin and leaves a soft glow. Perfect over makeup or bare skin.

I would probably not purchase the facial mist again. Although I did enjoy it, I am wary of putting too many chemicals on my face. As a face mist I usually just use the Evian Water Facial Spray. It’s literally just Evian Water in a bottle that you can use to set your makeup, refresh yourself, or revive your look.

Overall, it’s a great line from a great company. Can they have added hemp seed oil to a line of products without rolling out a whole gimmicky look? Most definitely. Yet that is the industry and how it finds itself entering the mainstream. I would probably buy the Glow oil again, otherwise I’ll pass. These are the only three products from the line that I’ve used, but I am open to trying more of them. Stay tuned as I add reviews for the other products as well.
