The Safety Meeting Experience - a must!

One thing about Chicago is that we don’t strive to do something, we strive to do it the best way we can. And so I was so genuinely impressed by the immaculate vibes at the Safety Meeting.

Walking in, you’re greeted by the enchanting scent of weed. The lights are dim enough for the eyes, and there are rows of tables ready for you to take a seat. I immediately felt welcomed, which is hard to do with a room full of people.

My Creation at the Safety Meeting

Including some of the stuff I picked up at the event, including a raffle ticket that I don’t know what it was for lol

Scrapbooking - a Stoney Passtime

If you have been following me long enough you know that I am a hardcore paper craft fanatic. From journaling, to planning, to scrapbooking, and everything in between. I am obsessed with putting pen to paper. So when the Safety Meeting first began, I couldn’t believe there was a space for nerds like me. And one that is 420 friendly at that.

When I smoke, I feel like I can relax and tune out all the things flying around in my brain. I’m able to focus on the project I have in front of me and really soak in what I’m doing. Which is why smoking is such a huge part of my creative process. I like to relax and unwind putting all my thoughts and feelings down on a piece of paper.

They also had a cute little bling area where you can bling out your lighter. I chose to bling out my vape pen. They had so many cute buttons and rhinestones and I loved finding all the cute RIlakkuma stickers. A bitch loves her kawaii accessories, so I was hooked.

The Coffee Shop

1508 W 18th St, Chicago, IL 60608

Apart from all of my amazing table mates, the Safety Meeting also introduced me to Soulful Chicago. A cute little coffee shop serving up some amazing drinks. I had the Chai latte and fully enjoyed it. They also had a number of other fun and cute drinks, I am looking forward to trying them.

A Safe Space to Mingle

I am a huge fan of “Safe Spaces”. Safe spaces are what I consider to be experiences that are welcoming for all. Finding places to smoke weed in Chicago that are local to the southside and are inclusive are very hard to find, and I think the Safety Meeting provides just that. All are welcome to enjoy good weed and fun with their scrapbook.

Cannabaddie Talk prides itself on being a safe space for Brown and Black members of the LGBTQ+ community. You belong, you are welcome, and you are protected when you are around a cannabaddie.

Final Thoughts

The Massive Safety Cone Shaped Joint that was passed around

Luckily I got to take a couple puffs from this monster and it was absolutely delectable.

Apart from all the stickers, paper, and pictures available, I was super excited and surprised when the host came by and handed me a fully packed Spliff Palm blunt. What a way to keep your guests happy. There was also a free dabbing area but I didn’t partake. All in all, it had just about everything someone would need to have a stoney, scrapbookin good time.

Thank you to the Safety Meeting and its organizers for having me. It was such a good time and I definitely plan on making the next one. Thank you to my table mates for the vibes.
