Cannabis Makes You Lazy

It is a common misconception “stoners are lazy” We hear it all the time. “Will CBD make me tired?” In fact, Cannabaddie Talk was started as a way to empower cannabis consumers, outside of stupid nicknames like “Stoner” and “Pothead”.

Cannabis consumers are just about everywhere. As proven by it’s many mentions in Olympics through out the years, cannabis is frequently consumed by athletes and those who stay fit for a living. Here in Chicago, Runners High Chicago is shattering the myth that you can’t consume cannabis and be a runner.

Health is Wealth

As someone who honestly does not work out at all (surprise I know), I am usually not much into the loop on working out or what people do around me to stay fit. Still, that doesn’t mean that I am not a supporter of groups in Chicago who are doing good work.

Apart from their regular running meet ups, Runners High Chicago hosts Health is Wealth workshops where they hope to educate end encourage cannabis consumers to take a more active role in their health.

Their most recent Health is Wealth Workshop featured NFL legend Ricky Williams, and touched on sports and cannabis. A very interesting topic that isn’t usually discussed. But as more and more major leagues are loosening their rules on CBD and cannabis, they are important conversations that need to be happening.

Cleaning Up the Streets

Not only is Runner’s High Chicago as a group making major moves to educate consumers on health and cannabis, they also host community clean ups across the south side. From Pilsen to Brighton Park, they are making sure they care for the communities and parks that they use to run in.

It is very admirable that despite all the hard work and miles ran, they still take a moment to recognize the neighborhoods and clean them up. It is truly self less work that makes Runners High Chicago an amazing resource and safe space for cannabis consuming runners and athletes.

Runner’s High Chicago runs every Saturday at 9am

Make sure to follow them on social media to stay up to date on where they will be running next. Additionally, you can follow AK40SEV and Up Elevated Cocktails to learn more about their individual endeavors!
