Stoner Speed Dating Recap : Rise Consumption Lounge
On a rainy night in January, a group of single stoners got together to mingle while openly consuming cannabis. Hosted at Rise Consumption Lounge, the closest legal consumption lounge to Chicago.
Cannabaddie Talk creator Yesenia Roman hosted the first LEGAL Stoner Speed Dating Event. Yes, me you guys! And I have all the exclusive details.
The Lounge
Rise Consumption Lounge is such a nice venue. Smack dab in the middle of no where, exactly what you would expect from our overly regulated state. It’s beautiful, none the less. I also believe they’ve recently gone under renovations, as the space now gives off a more modern and chic look. The inside almost reminds me of a cafe.
Consumption Lounges in Illinois are not allowed to sell alcohol or even food. But the team over at Rise works hard to provide a unique experience. With a full service cannabis bar that has options for flower and concentrates. They have everything you would need to smoke, including a wall of glass pieces. From Puffco’s to pieces from My Bud Vase, it is definitely a more sophisticated setup. Exactly the type of environment and venue I love for Stoner Speed Dating events.
Thank you to all the staff at the Rise Consumption Lounge. They provided great support and helped make the event successful. Behind the bar, budtenders were on hand to help with the weed. The Singles
One of the biggest aspects of putting together Singles Events is ensuring a diverse crowd. Our readers are mainly femme identifying cannabis consumers, and many guests were surprised by the amount of women in attendance. This is because you need a full support system in order to provide events where women will feel safe enough to mingle with single men.

The entire event was oversaw by me as the host and by security provided by the Consumption Lounge.
The men were briefed on what would and wouldn’t be allowed, stressing the emphasis on comfort for the women in attendance. These types of events will only be attended by both men and women if safety is placed at the forefront. All events hosted by Cannabaddie Talk are powered for and created for Femme identifying cannabis consumers.
There is a huge market for Femme identifying cannabis consumers. A market that many brands miss the mark on. But Cannabaddie Talk is a great resource and community builder. Aligning myself with companies that believe in being a safe space. For their employees, for budtenders, and for consumers.

Overall, the event was as described “a unique experience”. Cannabaddie Talk was able to bring together eligible stoner singles. Providing many options and opportunities to connect. Why have one date when you can have 15 mini dates?
