Incredibles Edibles Review: Magnolia Bakery Collab

When it comes to infused chocolate bars, there is a widely known name. Incredibles, although they produce gummies and other candies too, is more famously known for their infused chocolate bars.

I am lucky enough to have previously tried flavors like their Windy City and Strawberry Crunch chocolates, both which have been very tasty. But as with any infused food product, the taste is only the beginning.

Their new Magnolia Bakery collaboration is just as tasty, but let’s break down a little more of my experience with these new chocolate bars with an honest review.

Swirled Famous Banana Pudding

Confession: I am not crazy for Banana Pudding. It’s probably the consistency itself, but I’ve never really liked eating it. So I didn’t really have high hopes for the Banana Pudding chocolate bar, until I tried it.

Like all of their chocolate bar, the taste is really there. I really enjoyed the crunchy bits of cookie mixed in the chocolate. It was a tasty, sweet crunch with only the very faintest taste of weed. Oh yes, there is a taste of weed, but while you’re eating it, that taste seems like more of an accent than an error. The creamy white chocolate, with it’s crunchy pieces of freeze dried bananas and cookies, was an absolute treat, and it was almost hard to only consume the 20 mgs I’m used to.

After about 25 minutes of eating the 20 mgs, I began to notice the effects creeping in. It was a strong head high that made my eyes slightly sting. I could feel my eyes getting a little heavier and although not visually impaired, the effect was strong on my eyes. 20mgs is a number that I am comfortable with when consuming edibles, but I would caution those who are fairly new to edibles to go slow.

Luckily, Incredibles is conveniently dosed and you are able to break off the exact amount you want to consume.

Red Velvet Piece AHHH Cake

I tried the red velvet flavored coffee after eating the Banana Pudding, and so I naturally expected to enjoy it the same. The experience with the red velvet cake was a little different, but in terms of the experience, it provided a similar head high. I also tried the 20 mgs I’m used to, and it gave me an equal high. Very heavy on the eyes.

In terms of the taste, I wasn’t hugely impressed. The flavor itself just wasn’t giving Red Velvet to me, I found it to be very artificial tasting. I do enjoy the crunch and the freshness of the chocolate when it comes in its packaging, but the flavor just wasn’t what I hoped for. It left a soft, sweet after taste.
