Cannabaddie Talk

Dispo Carts - Reviewed

Shopping at dispensaries is already confusing and weird. When you look at online menus, you notice there is a rating system and even comments sometimes. But who is rating these products, and are they honest reviews?

I can’t say I buy much flower at the dispensaries. But there is one thing I consistently buy at dispensaries: carts. Simply because I am terrified of all the homemade vape horror stories. I am all for regulation, when needed, and I am especially for honest reviews. So I gotchu cannabaddies, here is a rundown of some dispensary sold pens and what my experience was with them.

Stiiizy

The current most popular choice is popular across the country. But in Illinois, you’re not smoking genuine Stiiizy oil. Instead, you’re smoking Aeriz distillate in a Stiiizy battery. I did enjoy the Stiiizy battery because it is easy to carry, easy to hit, but I did find that the pod fell out easily. The Stiiizy disposable was my favorite. I also felt they were on point with the puff count. It was tasty and flavorful, albeit not very strong. The distillate is good, does provide an overall head high but I wouldn’t say it was long lasting. I’m also not a fan of the whole “Blinkers” thing where smokers hit the Stiiizy until it blinks. I don’t believe a high quality or potent pen would need that type of activity, especially since most people use pens more occasionally.

Bloom Vape Pen

The new kid on the block, Bloom Vapes have made it into Illinois thanks to The 1937 Group. The conveniently sized pen fits perfectly in your hand. I have to say, I did enjoy the Bloom vape, although not as flavorful as the Stiizy. I believe this also has to do with its intent. Bloom Vapes are made from “the original cannabis aficionados”, and have an emphasis on the strains and their terpenes. The hits were smooth and I was able to make big clouds which is usually not something that happens with weed vapes. One thing I did notice is that it actually finished pretty quickly. Maybe because of the big clouds, but I don’t think it gave me as many hits as other vapes.

Beboe Vape Pen

Ah, Beboe. The “Hermes” of Vape Pens that is now sold my the Mcdonalds of Cannabis companies. GTI purchased Beboe in 2019 in order to sell it across the country, the brain child of 2 fashionistas who memorialized their grandmother with this sophisticated cannabis line. As a vape pen, the Beboe is beautiful. But what is inside is not so fancy. Made from blends for different purposes, the Beboe hits like any other pen would. In fact, I struggled a couple of times with hitting it effectively. But once I did, I tasted the “cannabinoid cocktail” that they promise, and still I was not very impressed. Sure, it’s cute in your purse, but based off what we now know about blends and these cannabis brands, I would go as far as to say it’s not that cute in your lungs.

Joos Pen

One of my unlikely favorites on this list, I happened upon a Joos pen at an event. Not much of a vape fan, it sat in my room for a couple of weeks before I even hit it the first time. Joos are one of those products that are consistent, although maybe not spectacular. There are no frills with the Joos, it is your basic, ready to use, every day vape pen. And I have to say, it does its job. At a reasonable price point and an uncomplicated set up, Joos are perfect for those looking for an every day pen.

Good News

Another unfortunate good purchase, Good News is Cresco Labs unique line of vape pens. I don’t know what they put in it, but every time I have one I just remember the chicken nuggets from Mcdonalds that I struggle to let go of. We all have our guilty pleasures don’t we? And at this price point its easy to pick up Good News. Its great for those moments when you can’t smoke flower, but definitely don’t expect a long lasting or potent high. This one’s more for those moments where you need a quick pick me up, but don’t tell anyone I told you!

I’ll continue reviewing these as I try them. Comment below some of your favorite disposable Vape pens!
