Celebrity Cannabaddie Brands

Last month, Diddy made waves when it was announced that he would be buying one of the largest MSO’s. Officially marking him the first minority owned MSO. It’s really quite impressive,  criticisms or not, and it marks a new era for cannabis. But this acquisition is hardly the first.

Celebrity cannabis brands are all the rage.

From Mike Tyson to Martha Stewart it seems like just about everyone has cashed in on the cannabis boom. I have to admit, some of these celebrities have gotten a major side eye from me. But overall I’m excited to see who is stepping into the ring. I believe celebrities who openly endorse and roll out cannabis products are doing a major service to the stigmatization movement.

Women in Cannabis

Seeing women enter the cannabis space is especially satisfying. As a new industry, it is important that we immediately amplify those entering the space. I have put together a list of celebrity cannabaddies who have their own cannabis brand. Make sure to drop other suggestions down in the comments!

Martha Stewart CBD

A cannabaddie in her own right, Martha Stewart entered the cannabis industry and settled in. Making the great business decision to align herself with Uncle Snoop Dogg, Martha has quickly become a loved staple. Her line of CBD products include gummies and topicals, with a gourmet twist.

Lil Kim - Aphrodisiac

One of my childhood idols, and the Queen of rap, Lil Kim recently has launched her cannabis brand called “Aphrodisiac”. A long time cannabis consumer, and a long time freak, the name, and mission align perfectly with the Lil Kim we all know and love. Describing her brand, she mentions fashion, boundary pushing, and a look that her fans will love.

Trixie Garcia’s Garcia Hand Picked

The daughter of Jerry Garcia has actually released a whole cannabis line that is dedicated to the way he would enjoy cannabis. The line is curated by his family and the brand is an ode to the Grateful Dead vocalist. With an emphasis on social causes and overall rebelion, the brand looks like one to try.

Whoopi Goldberg Smoking Weed

Whoopi Goldberg's Emma & Clyde

Emma & Clyde is actually Whoop Goldberg’s second cannabis brand. This one features a line of top shelf flowers, edibles, topics, and tinctures. Though her previous line was discontinued, I believe it was to make way for this new line that features flowers . A flower smoker herself, it would make sense that she would pursue this avenue instead.

Honorable Mention: Toni Braxton Endorsing Uncle Buds Hemp

We are used to the questionable celebrities clamoring to endorse every drug. But Toni Braxton is a God fearing woman who is loved by many. Having someone like her openly endorse even just a hemp brand is such a huge step forward. I love Toni Braxton and am happy to include her on this list.

Who’s the Next Cannabaddie?

I think we’re only going to see more and more celebrities enter the cannabis space. I am especially hopeful that more women of color will have a chance to create brands. I will continue to add to this list as more cannabaddies launch brands.
